Description
Our mission is to brew beers built for the venturesome beer drinker, those unafraid to stray from the beaten path of simple flavors established by breweries much larger in size but not in creative energy.
As our name implies, we will be brewing at a slower rate of production than any of these monstrous breweries-designing and creating our hand crafted ales at one relatively slow pace, our "single speed", allowing each to emerge as a small artisanal batch formulated from recipes that include fresh, local, seasonal and organic ingredients.

Draft.
A- Gold color, slightly hazy liquid, white head.
A- Fruity, slightly hoppy.
F- Fruit loops, juicy, slightly hoppy, faint dankness.
T- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, juicy finish.
O- Wow, this was fruity and juicy for sure. Tasted like it was brewed with skittles or fruit loops or something. Very natural fruit juice flavor but still a solid ipa base. Singlespeed impresses me more each time I have them.

Aromas are fresh coffee, dark malt and roast. Flavors are similar to nose with very good balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Really good beer.

Kind of odd, aromas are slightly old resin hops while flavors are fresh citrus hops. Good beer actually.

The aromas are lightly malty sweet. Flavors are also malty with some sweet but also a lot more bitter than the typical cream ale. Okay carbonation and body. Drinkable but not much more.

Single can from HyVee Ankeny, stamped 6/24/22. The familiar creamy and chocolately smell of a milk stout right under the tab. Pours brownish-black with a sudsy, ecru head. Taste has a pretty filling mouthfeel of malt, with some roastiness, of course. Palate is a little less creamy than a milk stout, perhaps, but I get a note of Guinness sour. Some of this bitterness could be coming from the added roast coffee. That's not always east to separate from a stout roast malt. Leaves some sticky malt on my lip. Alcohol remains in the background and seems to have no inclination to sneak up on me.

(Thanks, Jim! Ozzy70) Can. A- Musty, tart, raspberry, fruity. A- Dark pink color, clear liquid, minimal pink head. T- Cherry, hibiscus, raspberry, lemon, slightly acidic, tart. P- Light body, average texture, medium carbonation, tangy finish. O- A pretty solid Berliner. I enjoyed the fruit combo in here, especially the hibiscus addition. From what little I've had from SingleSpeed, I've become pretty fond of their offerings. Perhaps underrated this one a little.

Pour is a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is cereal grain and a aggressive hop. Flavor is more grainy malt with some floral and bitter hops. A decent no frills pisner with a little more hop presence than a typical pilsner.

Pour is a clar gold with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma is decent crackery malt and you do get a nice hit of hops. Flavor is more of a creamy mouthfeel with more cracker malt and a little lemon zest. This is a pretty good pils. Decent malts and hops and a bit of a heavy chewy body.
