About

Bottle at De Paas. Dark brown with big beige head. Lots of red fruits, soft coffee, blackberries, light licorice, light yeast, peach, caramel, soft herbs. Medium sweet, light bitter and a light sour touch. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a bit watery feel. Not bad.

Slow gushing to fast gone dirty-yellow head over hazy orange-yellow beer. Dry, malty, spicy-yeast intoned nose. Taste is the same as above, with a little malty sweetness. Feels rather lowly carbonated, bit slick; finish is a tad empty. Bit sweet, if far from bad BSA - just a bit dull. 7/3/7/3/14

Huge, very dense, ever so slightly yellowish stable head, leaving lacerings over very carbonated (cold) hazy yellow beer. Creamy nose, fruity hops; banana, citrus, wheat, hints at esters, even clove, making it smell a bit Weizen-like Citrussy, spicy hops, bit wild hops-like, not New World ones. Dry, just a bit dry malts and wheat under the hops. Warming up, becomes a tad medicinal. Gives a stronger impression than its claimed 5.5% ABV. Quite spritzy carbonation, wheatslick, medium bodied, long dry finish. Good EU interpretation of the IPA. 7/4/7/4/14

Beer immediately turning itself into a glass of dense yellowish foam upon pouring, ending in a bottom of yellow-golden, finely carbonated beer, lacy. Spicy nose, yeast, wild hops, nettles, galangaroot. Sweetish malty, lots of restsweetness. Not much else but faint spicy/yeastiness. Quite light body, creamy head all the way; good carbonation, rather empty aftertaste. Guys, listen. "Saison" means brewed and drunk not overnight, but overseason. Meaning it is fermented out almost 100%. This certainly isn’t. Call it "Traditional ale" or so.

Huge, dense & fine, lightly cream-coloured head over quite carbonated foxy copper beer. Rich sugary nose, maltsyrup. Dark(er) malts’ aromas, with a lot of syrupiness suggested, ovomaltine. Toasted, herbal with only some sweetness backthroat - turns out completely different from what the nose suggested. Probably quite well fermented out. Malztrunk without the sweetness, but compared to a British BB, less hops and no butterscotch. Rather sharpish MF, very good carbonation, medium bodied at best, but slick. Like the taste, but not really great. A choicer pick of hops (UK... Fuggles...) might have been of benefit.

Very good, ultra fine & dense light-cream head over deep ruby-ish brown beer. Chocolate nose, bit woody, dark malts, dried fruit, felt, dark green leaves. Very nice spicy-sweetish-sourish balance (almost no bitterness). Chocolate with light sourish fruitfilling. Fruitesters as banana, light green herbs, wheat. Light acidthinning, very good carbonation, medium bodied, grist/wheatslickness. That’s one to like! 6/4/8/3/14
