Description
All Northern Alchemy beers are entirely natural products. Unfined (no ‘finings’ made from fish swim bladders and therefore suitable for vegans) & unfiltered. This means all of the flavours deliberately chosen for the beers are exactly what the customer should taste. Most of our beers will have a natural haze to them because we don’t subject our beers to these extra processes, in our opinion it’s how beer should be.

17/01/2020. Keg at the 11th Elysian Winter Beer Festival fringe festival at 3at3. Pours almost black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma is earthy, smoky, cinnamon, light quince, citrus, chocolate and spice. Moderate sweetness, light to moderate bitterness, touch of tart. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. The quince is really subtle, and is very nice combined with the chocolate and light spiced edge. Very well done.

Nice. Tart, lots of grapefruit, little bit of creamy yoghurt, light herbs but can't put my finger on it being rosemary. Easy going and tasty!

The Merchant. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, mild dark malt cream. Smooth and mild well integrated coffee, mildly fruity. Light finish. Quaffable but nothing out the ordinary.
