Bottle, 10C. Clear amber with a fading white head. Aroma is toasty with pine, berries, spices. Just medium bodied, (too) fizzy. Malty but not very sweet; berries that _just_ avoid the boiled lolly feel, pine, grass/weeds. Only moderate bitterness but it seems mean rather than an invitation to another sip. A way off what I like of theirs.

From a 500ml bottle on 6/8/2017. Pours a clear ruby red with a small head. The nose features some caramel and fruity hops. the flavour is nice and clean, with sweet fruit, particularly berries, and some light spice, against a background of caramel and toasted malt, with a strong bergamot flavour in the background. The hops are firm without being over the top. Medium bodied with average carbonation. An excellent, quite unusual red IPA.

Bottle, 3rd in a Def Leppard themed series of IPAs apparently. Clear amber with a white head. 3+ Aroma of grapefruit, kumquats, passionfruit, gooseberry, a little toast. Pungent verging on raucous - yet smoothly produced, hmmn. Sweeter than expected - a little honey and hay with the toast - then the fruity hops take over. It smelled pretty resinous but it’s very smooth with bitterness that’s no more than firm and has no harshness to it. Another deft mix of hops here - a real balance between US and Kiwi influences.

On tap. Pours pale. Peach, apricot, lots of honey, bit of an alcohol kick, some biscuit. For a silly strong lager, this is bizarrely easy to drink. Thumbs up.
