Bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours tiny hazy golden with a frothy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving some sticky thick lacing on the glass. Smell is fruity with white bread, grapefruit juice, pineapple juice, freshly cut grass, pine needles, alcohol, starfruit, passionfruit, soil and hints of caramel. Taste is slightly sweet, fruity and slightly herbal with crackers, white bread, caramel, grapefruit juice, pineapple juice, starfruit, passionfruit, gooseberries, freshly cut grass, lemon balm, pine needles, lemongrass, resinous wood, black currant leaves, soil and alcohol. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny astringent and medium to full bodied. Finish is slightly bitter and fruity with white bread, caramel, grapefruit juice, pineapple, starfruit, passionfruit, freshly cut grass, pine needles, alcohol and soil. Solid IIPA.

Bottle at home, bought in Sweden, imported to UK, 3rd April 14. Great perfume aroma, good malts, some bitter hops on the finish, quite American in style, liked it.

Bottle at home, from Systembolaget Nordstan, 01/04/14. Golden amber with a good sized off white head, carbonation evident. Nose is caramel malt, bitter orange, light rubber, pine notes, hop presence, floral waftings. Taste is caramel malt forward, honeycomb, sharp grapefruit, pine, candied orange peel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, balanced hop bitterness in the close. Decent malt forward IPA with a good hoppy overlay.

50cl bottle pours with a clear copper body that has gold hues and supports a dirty white head of foam. The aroma offers up floral hops, earthy lime, sweetened black pepper, some onion dankness and a mild amount of citrus flavored gummy bears. The taste starts off with a mix of bitter floral hops, malt sweetened tangelo and firm resiny pine hoppiness. A dash of thin black pepper rises up as the resiny bitter hops peak in intensity. It has some citrus hop juiciness that pokes through here and there and then it ends with lingering hop bitterness. Nice rich bold hoppy brew.

500ml bottle @ Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki

Pours dark orange with a white head. Nice aroma of exotic fruity hoppiness, raw hop cones, grass, citrus and crisp maltiness. Taste is slick, hoppy and exotic fruits and caramely maltiness. Finish is slick, fruity and zesty with some hoppiness and maltiness. Alcohol is quite well hidden, but could’ve used perhaps a bit more bitterness to make this even better for my taste. Still a very good DIPA, though.

50 cl bottle @ Hilpeä Hauki, BBE 17.09.2014
Aroma is very fruity with fresh hops, caramel and resiny malt. Flavour has caramel, some gluey tones, fruity hops and pineapples. Aroma was better than flavour (which isn?t bad either.) Gets some licorice aromas with sediment added.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 170914, at Hilpeä Hauki, 20140326) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, mango, creamy toffee, pine and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, creamy toffee, sweetness, citricness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, sweet and bitter. A very well done double IPA: balanced with pleasant hoppiness and strong body.
