Froma 500ml bottle on 18/10/2013. pours a clear deep golden orange wth a medium, somewhat uneven, head. Has a sublime aroma of passionfruit, lychee and other tropical fruits.This is an imperial IPA where the fruit dominates, with loads of orange, mandarin, tangerine, lemon and grapefruit present. There is a bit of caramel malt in the background, but it’s primarily a citrus war - sweet vs bitter fighting out an honourable draw. The bitterness is big and lingering, but it needs to be to provide the balance. The palate is quite syrupy and the carbonation medium. An Outstanding beer.

Bottle. Clear deep golden liquid with small white head. Aroma of citrus, tangerine, mango, elderflower, bread and pine. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter with notes of tangerine, mango, caramel and bread. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. On the sweeter side.

Pours dark amber, very dark for an IPA.Nose shows tea, sweet clean malt, herbal hops, spicy malt and caramel.More sweet malt as flavours with some fruit cake and golden syrup notes. Also some peach and apple.Carbonation seems a bit full on.

Pours gold with a large, lasting head.Nose shows vibrant fruity hops with lychee, pear and peach characters. Also some biscuity malt.Not much fruit as a flavours, much more piny, althought there is some grapefruit. Very little malt, resulting in a sharp, harsh bitterness and a little booze in the finish.Carb could be a little higher.

Bottle. Clear amber with an inch of white head that quickly fades to a coat. Aroma of mandarin, gooseberries, lychees, caramel, a little pine, savoury spices. Oily, lowish carbonation. Sweet with caramel and biscuit, lots of tropical fruit, pine/ menthol/ mint. Moderate bitterness, remains sweet and fruity all the way - a bit drier and/or bitter at the end would have been welcome.

Flaska från SB. Bärnstensfärgad, klar, lågt försvinnande skum. Stor doft av tropiska frukter, grapezest och tallskott. Torr för stilen och fruktigheten dränks i grapebeska och fenoler, men rena smaker, bra balans, väl dold alkohol och en torr stram smakbild gör att den funkar riktigt bra och man dricker lätt 50cl. Någonstans mellan IPA och DIPA. Riktigt bra.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear deep golden, mid sized head. Huge aroma of pear and lychee. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Loads of tropical fruit hops, some syrup and caramel. Really bitter finish with some warmth..

Bottled at SBWF. Hazy amber, small head. Super concentrated tangerine and gooseberry aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Minty tangerine and passion fruit, notes of caramel. Long bitter finish. Nice display of NZ hops.

Draught at SBWF. Near black, small beige head. Tinny licorice aroma. Mid sweet with full body. Molasses, milk chocolate and tin dominates. Salty bitter finish. Too imperialized, with unwanted molasses-stickyness.
