Bottle. Nose: grapefruit, pineapple and caramel notes. Taste: Sweet malts in the background. Straight forward citric hop bitterness with some grape notes in the aftertaste. Great balance! Very refreshing and easy to drink.

500ml Bottle - Gold/amber with a foamy head. Pine, grapefruit, toffee, peach and passion fruit feature in the extremely enticing aroma. Bitter, hoppy and slightly sweet taste with notes of grapefruit, peaches in syrup and sticky toffee pudding. Very enjoyable and doesn’t taste as strong as it is.

50 cl bottle from Systembolaget. Light amber or golden, clear body with medium off-white head. Smells of citrus, pine, grapefruit, toffee, tropical fruits and some soap. Nice, hoppy and a bit spicy. Taste is dry with a medium bitterness (for the style). The bitterness could have been higher style-wise, but this level makes the beer very drinkable. Nice balance overall. Medium bodied with quite long finish and nice dryness. Good, stable IPA.

Bottled. Clear deep golden, rich firm head. Concentrated hoppy lychee aroma. Sweet with dense, rounded mouthfeel. Perfumy lychee and gooseberry-like hops. Really bitter finish, but not overly aggressive. Top stuff!

Bottle from Ledgers. Pours light amber with a foamy 3 finger beige head. Aroma is weird - like super hoppy with shitake mushrooms. Med body/mild carb. Gee - this is very complicated. Grassy; light stone fruity; citrusy; extremely floral; light caramel; a bit earthy. My mouth keeps salivating and I have to keep working that out. It seems astringent in effect. WTF! Based on impact this is damn good beer.

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, smoke - woodcoal ! wood, sweet tomato (grilled tomato), light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, dark malt, wood and strange sweet nees of the grilled tomatos i think ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottle. Clear dark brown with a 1cm beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, grass, a hint of smoke and fruit. Taste has moderately astringent fruit (you can feel it on the front of your gums, too), light roast, dark caramel, grassy and roasted bitterness at the end along with a wisp of smoke that grows down the glass. Interesting - the tamarillos do the same job as coffee in terms of astringency but don’t add any round fruitiness. At first I thought it wanted a bit more sweetness and roast, but as the smoke grew I didn’t miss those bass register flavours much at all. If this is the first tamarillo beer, it won’t be the last.
