500ml bottle. Pale gold with an inch of loose white head that fades rapidly. Earth, sharp citrus, hay aroma. Taste is sweet and grainy with decent bitterness. Quite mouthfilling with tingling citrus. I liked it more as I had more. It’s not really trying to do anything different but it does the golden lager thing very well.

From a 500ml bottle on 13/12/2010. Has a nice lively floral, citrus fruit and banana aroma. Subdued caramel malt, zesty fruit (especially orange and grapefruit), and some spiciness present when it hits the mouth. Nice and hoppy, without being over the top. A very good and eminently quaffable APA.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes roasted malt and wood, leading to a dry roasted finish.

To celebrate my rating number 19,300, I enter this beer from my fiancée’s native country. Bottled. An amber beer with a white head. The aroma is spicy and hoppy is it Sorachi Ace? it also has a note of fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, spices, caramel, and hops. The alcohol leaves a slight bite in the mouth.

From a 500ml bottle on 20/11/2010. Has a pronounced and powerful fruit, floral and pine hop aroma, not dissimilar to some of hope monster IPAs from the US. The hops are a touch more subdued in the flavour, though there’s still plenty to be enjoyed. This has a lovely balance of caramel and citrus fruit sweetness and slightly spicy bitterness, which lingers for ages. Don’t know why this is tagged as an American strong ale on here, as it’s more of an IPA. An excellent beer.
