Description
The Landskron Brau-Manufaktur Görlitz was founded in 1869. It is one of the oldest producing industrial monuments in Germany. At Landskron, since 1869 all beers are brewed using traditional fermentation vats according to the traditional brewing tradition and are allowed to mature for a particularly long time in 12-meter-deep vaulted cellars. In contrast to industrial breweries with computer-controlled brewing systems, all beers at Landskron are managed by experienced master brewers by hand.

Okay beer. A bit bitter, not much else going on with it. Pretty standard plain Oktoberfest beer. 2018 bier advent

0.33 bottle, thanks Bert. Nice head, dark brown, not quite black enough. Aroma is very mild, hint of malt and some sweetness. First sip: how can a 3.8% beer be this sweet? (Read label) artificial sweeteners, 3x. Decent sweet malty taste if a bit artificial. Body feels almost too thin for this magnitude of sweetness (which clings to the palate) and that throws it off further... A beer for people who like Karamalz and don't like beer.

Bottle: Bright amber coloured, clear, small persistent (off-) white foamy layer, clean sweetish malty nose with some toasty and honeyish spots and well hidden traces of toffees, shy certain bitterness in the background; mild to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, more light than medium bodied, not really soft; nearly moderate sweetish-bitter finish. Nothing wrong with, just not really exciting...

500ml bottle; BB 7th Feb 19, drank in my garden on 1st Oct 18. Last beers of seven shared with the wife (all German). Liked it, almost. Clean brown body, beige head that hung around. Caramel maltiness in the nose and taste, body fine for a 3.8% ABV brew. Could have done without the saccharin maybe.

Another mass produced German dark lager with a bad reputation. But is better than almost every North American version. There's nothing wrong with it at all, it is clean, crisp with a medium-low roast. Netto Dresden

(bottle) Clear, bright amber colour with a beige and quickly collapsing frothy head. Slightly buttery malty nose with loads of toffee and mildly fruity accents of dark and red berries. Moderately sweet flavour, light bodied with a modest carbonation. Slim malty base with notes of toffee and subtle fruity notes; moderately sweet toffee-malty finish. Okay. 30.VIII.18

"Landskron Goldbock", Flasche von Edeka, Berlin. - Goldbraun, klar.
