Description
The Landskron Brau-Manufaktur Görlitz was founded in 1869. It is one of the oldest producing industrial monuments in Germany. At Landskron, since 1869 all beers are brewed using traditional fermentation vats according to the traditional brewing tradition and are allowed to mature for a particularly long time in 12-meter-deep vaulted cellars. In contrast to industrial breweries with computer-controlled brewing systems, all beers at Landskron are managed by experienced master brewers by hand.

Sprittiger, weich malziger Antrunk. Zunehmende Intensität, Noten von Plastik, falsch wirkend. Etwas nach Birne. Meh. 8/7/7/6/9/6

(swing top bottle, 75cl) Hazy, amber to copper golden colour with a short and off-white foamy layer. Sugary sweet and slightly toasted malty aroma with a touch of candied fruits, caramel and only traces of smoked or Whisky-malt, accompanied with notes of booze. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Surprisingly smoky malt character upfront with notes of caramel and chocolate; sweet and slightly roasty bitter finish with mildly smoky notes and alcohol. 08.VIII.17

(swing top bottle, 75cl) Slightly hazy, murky amber colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy layer. Delicately toasted dark malty and slightly oxidized aroma with traces of caramel and notes of booze-soaked pears. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a tame carbonation. Initially quite sweet malty with notes of alcohol, caramel and pears; stickily sweet malty and boozy finish. Not convincing. 08.VIII.17

“Landskron Edel-Bitter“, 5 %, Flasche (50 cl) aus dem Edeka am Prager Platz, Berlin-Wilmersdorf. - Goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase feine wenngleich etwas blasse zitronige Hopfennoten. - Antrunk gut hopfenherb mit Zitronenschale. Zartes helles Malz. Mild rezent. Kräftige Hopfenherbe, Zitronenöl. Wuchtig bitterer Abgang, ein wenig schroff. - Kräftig aber etwas einspurig gehopft; gut bitter zwar aber für das Prädikat „edel“ reicht es nicht ganz.
