(swing top bottle, 75cl) Hazy, amber to copper golden colour with a short and off-white foamy layer. Sugary sweet and slightly toasted malty aroma with a touch of candied fruits, caramel and only traces of smoked or Whisky-malt, accompanied with notes of booze. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Surprisingly smoky malt character upfront with notes of caramel and chocolate; sweet and slightly roasty bitter finish with mildly smoky notes and alcohol. 08.VIII.17

Bottle. Amber color with no head. Aroma is malty, caramel, toffee, earthy. Taste is caramel, oxidized, malty, toffee, sirupy somehow. Low carbonation. Meh.

Brown with almost no head. Aroma is nutty malt, toffee. Taste is phenolic metallic, harsh malt. Oily and heavy. Meh.

Many thanks to Simon for this bottle! Malziges Bockbier, süßliches Holz in der Nase, rauchiges Whisky-Malz im Antrunk. Weich, süßlich und mild, Holznoten, intensiver werdend mit süßlichen Anklängen und Whisky-Rauch. Weich süßlich rauchig im Nachgeschmack. Nett.

Sampled from 0.75 l bottle at RBBSG 2016 in Evergem. Minimally hazy, golden amber with a white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly peaty aroma of caramel, honey and some peat. Sweet-malty, slightly peaty taste of caramel, honey and peat, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, quite peaty finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Off-balanced, don’t really like it.

Thx! to Beerhunter111. 750 ml. swing-top bottle sampled @ RBBSG V. 2015 Vintage. Hazy amber, orange, little white head. Nose is quite bland, sugar, plastic, oddly sweet, sugary, bit thinned, low smoke. Taste & body are rather thin, bit fizzy,… Smoked basic malt, leaves, fizzy, herbal, low oak, sugar,… Thin fizzy, far too plane & simple. Rather bland & thin.

Sampled @ Ratebeer Belgian Summer Gathering 2016. Clear orange color, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, lightly grainy, light smoke I guess coming from the whiskey malts, definitely some whiskey / whiskey malt influence. Decent body and carbonation. Not bad.

Clear orange beer, small aery off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty sweet, caramel, peated, smoky, some ripe banana, more caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots and lots of peat, sweet, caramel touch. Aftertaste: little bitter, sweet, ripe to overripe banana and a ton of peated malts. Meh.

75cl bottle @RBBSG2016. Klares orange goldenes Bier mit einer geringen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch gering rauchig, süß malzig, leicht oxidiert. Geschmack süß malzig, gering rauchig, etwas Whiskey.

At rbbsg16. Thnx for sharing People ! Pours clear amber. Small white head. Smell is mild smoked, but not to much taste is bit smoked, but again balanced. Aromatic ambermalts, mild bitterness some sweet backbone. Very doable.
