Description
The history of BrewBaker began back in 2005 - with a small, fine restaurant with its own brewery at Bellevue S-Bahn station. After a few intermediate stops, we set up shop with BGM Berliner Getränkeemanufaktur GmbH in Sickingenstrasse in Moabit from 2013 to May 2019. BGM and Brewbaker have been going separate ways since June 2019. With immediate effect, living beers UG will take over the marketing of Brewbaker. A new production facility is being planned.

(Draught at the brewpub, Berlin, 20 July 2010) According to the staff it was an IPA with an abv around 6%. Reddish amber colour, hazy, with a frothy beige head. Malty, fruity nose with orange, apricots and some caramel. Fruity, malty taste with notes of orange, apricots, caramel and a fairly mild citrussy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, sweetish. More like an English strong ale than an IPA, but still a nice beer.

(Draught at the brewpub, Berlin, 20 July 2010) Dark brown colour, almost black, with frothy beige head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and slightly burnt malt. Roasted, malty taste with coffee, dark chocolate and a dry finish with a mild coffee bitterness. Rather light body. According to the staff, the abv is ca 4%. Very nice and highly drinkable stout (no, it’s not an abbey dubbel as it is listed as).

Draught. Amber colour with an orange hue. Fresh citrus aroma. Sweet with a bitter aftertaste. Not sure if it should be classified as an Oktoberfest.
