Description
The history of BrewBaker began back in 2005 - with a small, fine restaurant with its own brewery at Bellevue S-Bahn station. After a few intermediate stops, we set up shop with BGM Berliner Getränkeemanufaktur GmbH in Sickingenstrasse in Moabit from 2013 to May 2019. BGM and Brewbaker have been going separate ways since June 2019. With immediate effect, living beers UG will take over the marketing of Brewbaker. A new production facility is being planned.

Draught @ Brewbaker. Semi hazy, orange cloudy, big white head. Citrus hops in aroma. Straight hoppy taste. No fuzz. Well balanced. Smooth. One of the least german german beers I’ve had.

Tap @ Brewbaker, Berlin. Pours golden. Semi hazy. Flowery aroma with notes of elder and citrusy hops. The taste is extremely well balanced. The hops tickles elder flowery, there is a touch of citrus and also sweet bready malt. A perfect little hop bitterness in the end makes this a very good thirst quenching pilsener.

07/03 Draught at the brewpub. It poured almost clear darker orange body with medium sized head. Sweetish caramel, fruity and sugary aroma. Pretty good flavor, sweet malty, mostly in the fruity and caramel way, slightly orange hopped. Fuller in body with strange, but acceptable sweet caramel finish. No trace of alcohol. Simple, maybe a bit too sweet but pretty nice anyway.

07/03 Draught at the brewpub. It poured murky brownish body with smaller ocher head. Somewhat sourish hop and sweetish cappuccino malty aroma. Weak flavor reveals some fine coffee and caramel malt. Sweetish. Thin bodied with short caramel finish. I haven’t write down any smoked characteristics so they’re obviously too weak, like whole beer is. Fine base but needs a lot more on it.

07/03 Draught at the brewpub. It poured almost clear golden body with medium sized head. Weaker lemony and honey aroma. Flavor was bitterish orange hoppy, but nicely rounded with biscuit malt. Tasty and pretty full bodied with longer citrus finish. Fine enough, one of the better brewpub pils around I admit.

Draught at the brewpub. Lovely copper colour. Odd, very nice nose, sweet and malty, with some pleasant bubblegum. Interesting, fruity, bubblegummy dry beer, sweet, some orange peel. Light dust and maybe, just maybe some alcohol. Nice and strange but the aftertaste is somehow odd and ruins everything.

Draught at the brewpub. Hmm... didn’t know it was smoked while rating it. Interesting. Anyway, poured a hazy brownish red body with a small off-white head that went away fast. Dry roasty, sweetish nose, coffee and meat. Oily. Interesting. Slightly watery taste, sweet buttery dried meat, slightly coffeish. Nicely sweet and drinkable but on the other hand a bit boring and forgettable. Ah, well.

As the other recent raters, we’d had it as "Bellevue Pils". It had a slightly hazy yellow-golden body with a small white head. Fruity lemony nose, light dust. Nice grapefruity taste, dust, fine bitterness. Slightly eggy when warmer. Long grapeseed aftertaste. Smooth and slightly light. Bit too dusty for my liking but not bad. The best one we’ve had in Berlin probably.
