swing top bottle 500ml. - at the Brewbaker. Hazy amber coloured, medium sized white head, brewing cereals and light caramel in the nose. Acidic sweet malty taste with notes of fruits and light spices. Low alcohol presence. Pretty unbalanced beer.

Draught at the Brewbaker. Probably this is correct one. Cloudy yellow coloured, medium sized white head, odd light meaty nose. Moderate malty, light grassy and hay with dry hoppy finish. Pleasant and refreshing.

Draught at the Brewbaker. Murky pale brown coloured, medium sized off-white head, light fruit and smoke in the nose. Light smoked malty, fruity and hint of caramel with pretty long -lasting smokey aftertaste. Not so typical smoked beer with also mild hint of spices near the end.

33cl flip-top bottle, thanks Tomaz for bringing this one from Berlin. Dorée/paille opaque, col blanc fin. Arôme est de gingembre sans pour cela être une bombe d’épice. Retrouve une petite présence de grains; blé/froment. En bouche, bière épicé restant correcte surtout pour le faible taux d’alcool. Sèche avec une petite note de malt et levure, fruité presque de pomme avec le gingembre en retrait laissant une petite pointe épicée sur la langue au fini. Légère.

50cl flip-top bottle, thanks Tomaz for bringing this one from Berlin. Cuivre brumeuse, col épais et très crémeux beige.Arôme de levure, malt grillé le tout sur un beau bouquet fruité. En bouche, palais est sec, malt léger grillé laissant une impression de grains concassés. Ressent un profile houblonné léger et citronné proche d’une ESB. Très légère, et un plaisir à déguster. Comme souvent, cela change des trois/quatre style que l’on retrouve typiquement à Berlin.

33cl bottle, thanks Tomaz for bringing this one from Berlin. Brewed to celebrate the 150th anniversary of this Berlin neighborhood, 1980 bottle to indicated how many people lived there in 1861. Brune brumeuse sur la fin avec un col beige qui se dissipe très vite. Arôme malté grillé avec une pointe de houblon en retrait. En bouche, bière légère et malt grillé. Petite amertume sur la fin laissant u profile citronné minime. Carbonnation est très faible avec le houblon Perle laissant un fini épicé agréable et le Smaragd confère une pointe fleurie légèrement amer sur la fin. Sec avec pas mal de grains, et assez faible sur la finition.

Bottle at the bar in the Market hall. A special beer to celebrate 150 years of the Moabit region of Berlin where the brewery is now located. Medium orange brown with a fizzy head that quickly disappears. Aroma is sharp malt slightly acidic. Flavour starts smooth but then turns sharp. Finish is bittersweet. Carbonation is fizzy. A bit unbalanced

Draught at the brewpub. Murky orange brown with good lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild smoke with some orange rind. Flavour is light grilled bacon with an even roasted finish. Palate is lingering dry, slight bitterness. Nice

Flip top bottle 50cl @ Brewbaker. Orangée, col blanc et soyeux. Arôme, houblon, pin résineux, fruité mandarine et pamplemousse. En bouche, profile houblonnée avec une touche allemande. Houblon herbacé et résineux avec une pointe de malt caramel. Fini sur une belle amertume, trace d’agrumes, pamplemousse tout en gardant un fini sec avec des amertumes houblonnées allemandes. Effervescence est bonne et donne un léger picotement en bouche avec en retrait une pointe de malt.

Draft @ Brewbaker August 9th, 2011. Une belle robe orangée brumeuse, col épais crémeux. Arôme est subtilement bien fait, entre un malt fumé et carmel avec des touches de houblons allant sur le pin et le résineux. En bouche, le malt fumé reste présent mais se trouve par occasion pris par le houblon qui procure plus ce profile citron et pin et enlève un peu de sa saveur au malt fumé. Palais est crémeux avec de belles notes de résine et de fumé et des notes de caramel. Se laisse déguster et en se réchauffant un peu le cote fumé s’en retrouve que meilleur.
