Description
The history of BrewBaker began back in 2005 - with a small, fine restaurant with its own brewery at Bellevue S-Bahn station. After a few intermediate stops, we set up shop with BGM Berliner Getränkeemanufaktur GmbH in Sickingenstrasse in Moabit from 2013 to May 2019. BGM and Brewbaker have been going separate ways since June 2019. With immediate effect, living beers UG will take over the marketing of Brewbaker. A new production facility is being planned.

Hazy pale yellow golden colour, small fizzy fast disappearing head, lot of activity in the glass including tiny yeast particles that sink to the bottom. Aroma tart, wheat malt, lemon, green apples, yeast, Taste medium sour and ever so light sweetbitter, tart, wheat, lemon, gooseberry, apple. Light body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lingering dry sour aftertaste, good example of a traditional Berliner Weisse.

Buddel: Literally black, small, stable brownish head, dry roasty to ashy nose, traces of dried fruits, leather and chocolate underneath; pretty dry bitter flavour, low sweetness, light to medium bodied, not overly soft; dry bitter ashy, roasty and mild fruity finish. Not bad for a German Stout....

Dark red with a frothy, beige head. Campfire aroma. Whiffs of cherry syrup and caramel underneath. Mild smoky bittersweetness most of the way through. Nice blend of charred bitterness and sweet caramel. Finishes warm, mildly alcoholic. Body medium to full, carbonation balanced. Good overall.

750 ml bottle. Amber color. mango and oily hops in the relatively modest aroma. Firm oily hopbitter flavor with pineapple, mango and licorice, flowing into a longish oily hopbitter aftertaste. Could be more aggressive.

Bottle. Almost black. This beer smells indeed like roast and potato crisps (ready salted). Malty roasty salty flavor with potato crisps. Very interesting beer.
