(6/18/08) Draught at the brewpub in Berlin. Clear golden with a white head, maybe a bit hazy. Nice aroma of hops, flowers and some malt. Sweetish bready flavor finishes with pleasant bitterness. Medium-bodied. Nice.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours black with an orange glare and a lacing tan head. Roasted malt aroma, light liqourice too. Roasted malt flavour, spiced and with a dry and pleasant liqourice note lingering into the finish. Dry and spiced finish, nicely lingering and quite dry into the far finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours almost clear, golden red to orange with a lacing white head. Sweet fruity and caramel malt aroma. Sweet initial flavour, light spiced and towards liqourice in base flavour. Finish is light spiced and lingering fruity.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy yellow with a lacing white head. Aroma is citric fruity and light hoppy. Light brewing cereal flavour with a mild bitterness and medium sweet. Dry and bitter finish.

(Draught at the brewpub) On June 5, 2008Shady golden color, white head. Sweet cherry and cherry pips scent with almond paste. Sweet, malty, bready taste. A bit thin, almost flat, mouthfeel. Loe bitterness.

(Draught at the brewpub) On June 5, 2008Cloudy orange color, small white head. Sweet and grapefruit scent. Sweet and slight acidic grapefruit taste, some herbal hops in the back. Thin a bit flat mouthfeel, grape and apricot aftertaste. Low bitterness.

(Draught at the brewpub) On June 5, 2008Slight shady straw color, white head. Fresh, spicy, hoppy scent. Yeasty, spicy, hoppy fresh taste. Very nice! Moussy mouthfeel, sweet and herbal aftertaste. Very nice pils, I like a lot!

Small creamy beige head. Barely translucent deep dark brownish red body. Roasty earthy licorice aroma, faint but harmonic and nice. Sweetish-dry delicate earthy roasty licorice taste with fruity faintly metallic notes. Delicate and clean. Dry lingering earthy fruity ripe aftertaste lingers. Very nice! (0.1l taster at the brewpub.)

Small white head does not last. Hazy amber body. Roasty perfumed malty aroma, very faint. Dry delicate earthy roasty fruity taste with a perfumy, spicy background. Harmonic and delicate. Dry earthy hoppy aftertaste. Very nice, but perhaps a bit earthy, without enough else to balance this out. Still clearly very well made, though. I’d happily drink lots of this. (0.1l taster at the brewpub.)
