[50cl can from Beer52.] A mahogany brown coloured pour with a fast fading beige head; malty aroma; soft malty taste with a smooth texture, some sugar, toast, and a light spicy bitterness; then a rather thin malty finish.

Half litre can via Beer52. Poured into an old 'Wolnzacher Brauhaus' Hopfenperle glass stein at home on 10th December 2025. The first beer of a tasting session with myself; Bertie watching, Margie and Auntie Sue drinking wine. Deep brown body with a red hue, tanned roof that didn't last too long. Malts ruled the nose and taste, light bitterness and a decent body depth for the style (in my limited knowledge of 'Schwarz Bier'). Good start to the little tasting session.

slightly cloudy straw to golden, big white head that quickly subsides
A - bread with light banana and spice
F - fairly typical weizebier, light banana and clove
I'm not a weizenbeer fan but his is maybe less weizenbeer than some so it was ok

500ml can. Pours a light black with beige head. Aroma of wood, toasted malt, some hop pepperiness. Taste of toasted dark malts, some woody and light herbal hops, moderately sweet and bitter. Light to mid bodied, semi drying. Decent.

500ml can from Beer52. Hazy amber gold with off white head, lacing. Aroma of banana, a strangely stale noted malt and clove. Taste is quite watery with basic weizen notes. Not unpleasant but dull.

Can, thx Fil! Brownish clear body, beige head. Raisins and prunes in the sweet aroma, light herbal notes. Creamy malty taste, clean, caramel and little mint. Quite okay, clean, if a bit too sweet.

Original review text: Misty deep brown. Decent ivory head. Nose: toasted and roasted malts, hops. Light body. Taste: medium dry, clean, malty and hoppy. Pretty hoppy. Medium bitterness. This is really what a proper schwarzbier should be.
