Keg at the SLO brewpub, 30/04/14. Black with a big tan head that retains well. Nose is light roast, faint cocoa, light metallic tinge, dark toffee. Taste pretty much matches the aroma. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light dryness in the shutdown. Ok to lower middling dry stout - certainly doesn’t better Guinness thats for sure!

Draught at the brewpub. Lightly hazy nut brown, small head. Rich citric nose. Mid sweet with cleanm, rounded but unfirm mouthfeel. Heavily hopy, which covers the shortcomings in the malt depatrment well. Marked resiny bitterness.

Draught at the brwepub. Clear golden, no head. Sweaty citrus aroma. Mid sweet with clean mouthfeel and medium body. The harsh malt hardness is covered up to some extent by gooseberrry and citrus. Resiny bitter finish. A mediocre beer with lovely hop polish.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden, near no head. Honey aroma. Sweet and fruity, dripping with honey. Very sweet with an all-honey flavour, none of the dreaded boiled vegetables I dread in honey beers. Clearly a beer for honey freaks only.
