RBWG@RLRL-thanks to -22oz bottle-pours a light tan head and hazy amber color. Aroma is bourbon, wood, medium malt. Taste is bourbon, wood, sweet medium malt-toffee, some earthy hops.

On bottle at the 2010 installment of Stogies and Stouts pouring deep copper – sort of brown-ish with thin tan head. The aroma is chocolaty and then picks up large sums of whiskey-ness as well as a light sense of wood. The taste is sweet and kind of bourbony with a little bit of wood along the edges. It then picks up notes of sweet malts sweetness, a thin layer of molasses and then more and more sweet and mildly harsh bourbon booze into the finish.

Bottle from craftbeerdesign. Thanks man! Am assuming this is the 2008. The ABV is in agreement with that. Pours a ruby brown. Guess that qualifies as chestnut. Slight beige head. Dark fruit aromas. Near full body with mild carbonation. Lots of fruit flavors. Mostly dark, but I think cherry flies by. Lots of flavor that ends with something like treacle/toffee/caramel. Very good drink.

Pours black with light brown head. Roasted malt and chocolate aromas. Flavor is roasted malts with some chocolate. Medium to full body with minimal carbonation.

Bottle @ Dunedin for Stogies and Stouts ’10. pours copper/brown, no head. Aroma lots of bourbon in this one, barrel/wood aroma, roasted malts and caramel. Flavor, lingering bourbon flavors and oak barrel. Light malty palate with hints of nuts. Sweet caramel with a mild coffee finish. Thought the palate was a little too thin for 9% abv.

Pours a clear dark brown with a fleeting tan head. Aroma of dark caramel, vanilla, bourbon and chocolate. The flavors follow the aroma. Over all, lightly sweet with no hops. A bit more body would help this, but it’s well done just as it is.

Draft @ OTH Strangely enough this one reminded me a lot of RB Peachstreet beer. Light amber color, white head. Aroma and flavor, fruit and hop citrus presence, leaning on a peach side. Mild notes of malt giving the beer a thin caramel and roasted malts in the profile. Just never imagined this one to be an amber.

Darker than pale yellow lager. A little more brown, per se. First taste is a little hoppy but mostly malty. Smell is a little sweet like candy, perhaps a heller hint. Good carbonation. Seems to be a tad too malty, nearly bitter on the finish.

Sampled at the January ’10 Metro Detroit tasting. I remember this one, thanks northernbrews! Poured a hazy brown with a red tint. The head was thick and brown. Aroma had notes of bourbon, chocolate malt and just a slight bit of oak perhaps. Flavor was nice with notes of chocolate malt a more subdued bourbon. I picked up a hint of vanilla that was nice.

Tap @ OTH. pours clear golden, white head. Aroma, grassy hops, hints of grain and pale malts. Flavor, light almost corn like palate, thin hops bitterness, hints of pale malt in the finish.
