Bottle - found this on sale, so I figure I’d give it a whirl - pours a lightly hazy dark straw color - headless, with just a faint ring of lace, and ver little carbonation - nose is some honey sweetness, but equal amounts sourness/acidity (almost smells like a partial sour mash), mineral, floral saaz hops - flavor is fairly sweet, tasting more like a tripel - flavors of citrus, melon, mango - strong spiciness, a moderate sourness, and some hop bitterness late - more like a Belgian strong or tripel - if you approach it as such, it is okay - if approached as a saison, it fails in all respects.

Bottled at SBWF. Dark brown, small head. Chocolaty nose. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Chocolate and caramel dominates. Growing resiny bitterness. Unfair comparison to have it side by side to Founders Porter.

Tap at Fresh Craft, Denver. Poured a clear light amber with no head at all. The aroma is spicy lemon and a hint of creamy caramel. The flavour is medium sour with a zesty grapefruit citrus palate. A very refreshing beer that even those people that don’t like sours would probably enjoy.
