Bottle at Beera, pours a cloudy orange amber with a massive beige head and chunks of yeast on top - looks terrible. Nose is very yeasty, with earthy hops, bready malt and some sweet caramel. Flavour is along the same lines, with earthy hops, light resins, and bready caramel malt. Yeasty and a bit muffled. Not a great example of the style, but I appreciate the effort.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Sofia. Pours lightly hazy orange-gold with a small, foamy, pure white head. The nose holds tangy lemon, flaked wheat, a little yeast, zesty citrus. Light to medium sweet flavour with subtle acidity, some phenolic undertones, more wheat, some dough, melon, tangy lemon. Light bodied with active carbonation. Finishes with some bready sweetness, nips of white sugar, more zesty citrus, a little oily peel, soft yeast, a bit more phenolic accent, more melon, tangerine, lemon. Some peach in the aftertaste. Not bad overall.

Bottle drank in Gabrovo - sourced from Nosferatu in Sofia. Opens with a loud hiss. Pours clear gold with a big, billowing frothy white head. The aroma holds pithy citrus fruits, tangerine, some orange peel. Light sweet flavour with a few crispy pale grains, rindy tangerine, pine needles, a mild ashy note. Light bodiednwith lively, massaging carbonation. Somewhatbdrying to finish, with more pithy citrus, pine needles, flinty minerals, further dry ashy notes, more crisp pale malts, lemon peel. Not bad overall.

A bottle shared with lovely Anja and Our K&K Igor in Sofia. Dark copper to brown, small off-white head. Peat aroma, spicy, dried fruits. Dry, very peaty, light malty underneath. Smooth, light to medium body, moderate carbonation, peaty finish. Nice aromas, some sweetness, not too many spices, could be better.
