Bottled (thanks omhper!). Pale yellowish golden colour with some particles floating around. Small white head. Aroma is cooked vegetables, some grains, rubber and mildly maizeish. Flavour is some very strange sweetness, very much like vegetably sugars or something (not maize or ricelike), some mild bitterness as well as herbal notes. A rather strange brew, which at first meeting will set you totally off, but then again is actually quite drinkable in all it’s strangeness.

Courtesy of Tony @ OTH. Pours like a soapy clear golden. white head. Aroma is malty with possibly some puffed riice. Taste, typical lager, really noted lost of malts, possible rice, leaving the metallic lager aftertaste. Refreshing, nothing special.

330 ml can, as Bali Hai Bir Lager / International Premium Lager Beer, a gift from my Indonesian-born sister-in-law. ABV is 5.0%. Pale yellow colour, big to moderate head. Strong "industrial" sweetish pale lager aroma, maize or other adjuncts galore. The flavour is also sweet with plenty of adjunct cereals, minimal hops, just a weak metallic bitterness in the finish. Not good.

Pitch black, light brown head. Dark chocolate, burnt raisins, molasses and a touch of butterscotch in the nose. Yum. Thin mouth, with notes of dark chocolate, butterscotch and baked cake. Lingering butterscotch finish, but lacks bitterness that could make this beer great.

Can, alc. 5.1%
Slightly hazy golden color, good off-white head. Malty with aroma of mash and rye. Very light bodied, ryeish, sweet corn malty. Terrible!

Can
Almost opaque black, brown head with "big bubbles". Skunky, earthy hoppy aroma, then coffee beans. Starts alcoholic harsh then chocolaty roasted malty. Long roasted and alcoholic aftertaste. Not a bad imitation of Guinness FES.

(33 cl) Pale golden with lots of floating impurities - rather unclean actually. Nice, creamy, white head leaving some laces. Lovely floral hop aroma. Sweetish body mainly dominated by brewing cereal. Vaguely tart rather than bitter finish. Standard Asian lager. 170106
