Description
Inspired by the landscape, culture, and the abundance of fruit in the North West, AVID Cider Company, a family run business, is dedicated to creating hard cider using sustainably sourced and local ingredients. AVID Cider Co. was founded as a result of the dissatisfaction with the lack of variety and excessively dry or cloyingly sweet ciders available in the market place in 2013. We saw the opportunity to create hard cider that better balances the elements of a flavor profile, and satiates our thirst for a cider that is “just right.”

Admin Note: Formerly known as Atlas Cider Company, the owners were forced to change the name to AVID Cider Company in 2018.

Tap at Imazato. Brown with maroon tints, clear, with lace. Big cherry nose, with apples and some pomegranate in there possible as well. Sweet, fruity flavors. Tasty fruit flavor but far too sweet and doesn’t come across as real cider so much as a cocktail.

12 oz can, thanks brenn79. Aroma is apples, vanilla maybe, wet stone. Smells pretty basic. Pours a pale clear yellow with a collapsing white head. Taste is lightly sweet and tart, finishing a little dry. Everything is pretty basic for a cider, but it tastes good. Not much else to say.

On tap at PIB 2016, pours a hazy orange amber with no head. Aroma brings out the dragonfruit upfront, with fairly high sweetness. Flavour is along the same lines, with medium-high sweetness and juicing dragonfruit. Not complex but easy to drink fizzy pop cider.

Bottle. Clear pale yellow color, fizzy head that settles quickly. Light apple aroma. Taste is very sweet with subtle apple. More like a commercial cider.

Clear 22oz bottle shared by Diceman. This bottle reminds me of those fruit flavored malt likkas. But it’s really just a sweet juice. At least I I like artificial blackberry flavor. Drink for junior high school girls.

Draught at Schilling Cider House, Seattle; 6.8% ABV
Pale yellow color. Like the name says, it has some cinnamon and pear, but they are delicate; it’s semi-sweet, with just light cider qualities, low bitterness, and light astringency in the final, a touch of nuts too.
Pleasant and refreshing.

On tap at Growler Guys clear very light pale golden. Flowery sweet light fruity aromas. Apricots and peach flavors. Sweet and smooth quite a bit Jolly Rancher like.
