Cask at Bird in Hand, Stafford. Pours a golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma is a bit vague, but has malts and hints of marmalade. In the mouth it is sweet and watery, and malts are the first flavour to surface. Later there come floral hops, pine and a trace of citrus. Finish is quite bitter. Not at all bad – definitely swiggable ! I wouldn’t call it an IPA of any description though.
