Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Marked 9/3/08. Pours with a hazed yellow body and a vanishing white head. Aroma of wheat and a few citrus hops. Taste is melon, and a bit spicy and fruity. Fizzy and dry.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of BelgianBeerGal. Thanks! Pours a hazy peach color with a thin head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is nutty graininess with green apple and other fruit notes. Taste is green apple, citrus and a bready, grainy finish. Slightly odd. Medium bodied.... Rerated. Notes not updated but score is.

12oz bottle. A Barleywine from Utah...you gotta like that. Sweet toffee malt aroma, very sweet. The taste is not unlike the aroma, with some deep rustic woody tastes. Lots of molasses and resiny characteristics. Deep opaque orange brown color. The hops sort of come through in a mellow piny way especially in the finish. An all around quality Barleywine.

Tap @ Standings Bar, served in a small wine glass. Version XV if I remember correctly. It pours with no head and a dark ruby color and glows when put up against the light but cannot see through it anyway. Aroma is surprisingly full of aggressively bitter hops then candied sweet malts. The aroma is definitely on track for a hoppy style West coast barleywine. Taste is lighter on the hops and a bit of watery bitterness. Just in general a bit of a watery barlywine flavor but still sweet and candied.
