Bottle from douglas88, or if not, from ericandersnavy. Thanks to both you guys. Indeed it does seem to have a hefe aroma. Hazy gold color with a slight white head. Medium plus body with sharpish carbonation. Flavor is typical Belgian, but more so than usual. There’s a big dose of kandi, clove, hot spice bits, and arguably even banana. Finish is pretty dry, and the pepper notes stick around. It’s a good one.

Bottle: Poured a deep clear burgundy color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of piney hops with some sweet malt. Taste is a very well balanced mix between some piney and somewhat citrus hops and a sweet malt base that is not overly sweet. Body is full with good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Very well done with great balance and very good drinkability factor.

Hmm, not really a kolsch, this - more like some kind of unfiltered golden ale - anyway, it’s refreshing none-the-less - crisp, herbal, grassy aroma, with some tangy character - a tiny bit tangy and a touch yeasty - some sourdough and cereal grain character work well with that - gets dry, lightly herbal, and almost chalky in the finish - this was bottled at the end of august, so it’s a little past its prime, but I think it’s pretty good.

Pour is a clear yellow with almost no head at all. Aroma is almost nothing with just an ever so small hint of cirtus. Flavor is a little better with some orange showing up but overall this is extremely weak and watery. This is boring.
