Black with a good sized khaki head that settles as a swirl.
Nose is bitter roast, earthy fruit rinds, herb, spice, cacao nibs.
Taste comprises roast malts, spice, charr, light vanilla interlude, lick of brandy.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a light rising boost.
Okay sipper but came over a touch raw and I expected a little more based on the other scores.

My first black ipa! Black pour. Thin tan head around the rim. Grapefruit flavor with citrus notes. Light body and full carbonation.

Spotty beige head on thick milky golden coloured body.
Mango & pithy citrus aroma.
Medium to full bodied, super smooth oily with a clean back.
Mango, lime, resin & dank hop tastes with a massive hot)p hit on the finish.
Excellent.

Near opaque dark brown beer, a reasonable tan head. Soft dark malts, a little dark malt cream with classic touches of coffee and dark chocolate. Apple Brandy pretty obvious, that ain't a complaint! Fairly bright and tangy apple with a pleasing ice cider boozy aspect. Mild coconut. A pretty light finish. Doesn't need the adjuncts, the barrelling is more than enough.

Can (Ghost Demons Batch--16.66% ABV) shared by Steve.Opaque black, thin head quickly fading to ring, no lacing.Aroma strong sweet/lightly roasted malt, molasses.Taste strong sweet malt, mild berry, toffee, molasses, rock candy.Smooth, thick texture, full body, soft carb, fin as taste.

Can - turbid gold - minimal head - bittersweet flavor, with a fair amount of mango and pineapple - a bit astringent and kind of flabby in the mouth - pithy finish, with lingering sweetness but then ultimately a dry, lingering bitterness - it’s decent.

Can - you can taste the fucking lactose in this big time - and the hop bitterness is low, which makes the sweetness that much more obvious - tastes grainy and muddled, with indistinct hop character and apparent alcohol - although I have to say I enjoy the rusticity of the spelt here, even if the overall flavor is muddled - ditch the lactose and ferment this with a Belgian and saison yeast and you might have a winner - meh.
