KØLF 210918. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, cocoa, licorice. Flavor is dry, roasted malt, spices, cocoa, licorice, berries. Nice and interesting beer.

Svart med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter engelsk lakris, trevirke, vanilje og noe røkt kjøtt. Middels fylde. Smaker noe mer salt lakris, trevirke, vanilje og noe kaffe.

Big fizzy-creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet mineraly, raisins, fruit stones, hay, minerals, dark malts, grass, alcohol, butterscotch, caramel, hints of licorice and dusty vanilla. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, weeds, fruit stones, raisins, bark, hay, minerals, alcohol, dark malts, paper, grass, butterscotch, spices, sawdust, hints of dusty vanilla. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh sour-ish boozy mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Jeg går planken på Apollon i Bergen, sammen med Børge under Fjordsteam-18: brunsvart med flott skum som varer forbi siste dråpe. Deilig, mørk maltaroma og smak med tonnevis av sjokolade, kaffe, mørkekarameller og snev av mørke bær. Lekker, halvtørr avslutning med laaang ettersmak og tilsvarende mersmak. Stor munnfylde med et bjørnebær eller to helt til slutt. Imponerende helhetsinntrykk for et øl i butikkstyrk, og vi var ikke tvil om at dette var kveldens beste.

330ml bottle, batch #147(?), bought at Vinmonopolet City Nord, Bodø. Fluffy white head, spotty lacing, cloudy golden body. Moderate smell of saison fruits, pale malts, and banana, dry. Spiced orange fruity taste with hints of yeast. More sweet than bittersweet fruity ending, noticeable alcohol. Fine depth. Satisfying (Tromsø 28.03.2018).

Opaque colour, small brownish head. Toasted malty, vanilla, cocoa and some alcohol in the nose. Medium to full-bodied. Cocoa, vanilla, light fruityness. Sweetish, a bit milky. Nice.
