Bottle, 75cl corked. An almost clear one, pale golden in color, with no bubbles on top. The aroma has ripe apple, fresh apple, grass, hay and some lemon. A faint sulphur touch too. It's full to medium bodied, dry and faintly acidic, with a soft carbonation. The flavor has both fresh and ripe apples, some apple pie hints, grass and hay, flowers and some faint notes of sulphur. Lasting apple driven finish. Quite pleasant this one. 210603

GYG 160121. Golden color no head. Aroma is apple, caramel. Flavor is apple, caramel, fruit, sourness, sugar. Powerful.

Bottle, 375ml. An oily pour reveals a dark golden cider, still and headless. The aroma is intense and rich, with lots of apple and caramelized apples. Some brown sugar, a hint of grass and a touch of grass. It's full-bodied, warming, sweet yet acidic, mellow and smooth, no carbonation. Apple, caramel notes, fruit-sourness, hints of grass and a pleasant touch of apple pie in the flavor. Lasting finish. An intense one, pleasant indeed, flavorful and sure worth a revisit. 210116

Bottle, 75cl corked. A cloudy yellow colored cider with some white bubbles on top. The aroma is fresh and welcoming, with green apples that sure aren't overripe, grass, sulphur and a lemony touch. It's tart and medium bodied, with a soft carbonation. Rather lemony feeling, if that makes sense. Un-ripe or borderline ripe apples, grass and apple cores, some yeast and sulphur in the flavor. Long, tart finish. Sort of pleasant and tasteful, but it needs a hot summer day and some just finished physical activity. 201229

På besøk hos Alde (Fridtjofens Hardangertokt aug-20) fikk vi omvisning og smaking, og høydepunktet ble naturligvis denne, direkte fra tank! Dyp gylden med intens aroma og smak - som en eksklusiv og langtidslagret tokayer. Dybde og smaksrikdom, et minneverdig besøk og uten tvil den beste cider jeg har smakt til nå.

Notater fra Fridtjofens Hardangertokt aug-20: 0,75 flaske fra produsenten, delt på skuta ved kai i Norheimsund. Champagnekork og champagnefutt. Røde epler, epleskall, hint av kanel og gjær. Umiddelbart sjarmtroll som taper seg nokså raskt - avslutningen blir for kort. 2019-versjon med 6,9 i voltstyrke. God men slett ikke forbanna god. Minuspoeng for smakløs etikett.
