Description
Established in 2019 by three friends, Grillen’s Brewery is both a brewpub, where the beers and the different recipes are crafted on site and a place where you can discover and enjoy our latest beer range.

Located in the city of Colmar (Alsace, France) in the Grillenbreit neighborhood, the brewery sits within an old cotton manufacture “Berglas-Kiener” witch was standing there back in the day. It is still possible to admire the XIX old century plant construction including its impressive red brick chimney.

Bottle shared by TdeRoeck. A bit unclear light orange color, small white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, hops, quite bitter in the finish which I like, quite dank, light pine and even some resinous notes. Pretty useful.

MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very bitter, a bit resinous, sweet touch, super dank, hoppy, some tropical fruits, dry, hint of citrus, nice! Aftertaste: very dank still, honey, marijuana, a bit sweet, grassy bitterness, piny hops, resinous bitter finish.

Amber with a frothy, white head. Floral aroma. But also cantaloupe, pineapple. Bittersweet with a sweet, caramel base and a citric bitter overtone. Finish is citric and mildly bitter. Medium bodied, decent chewiness, moderate to mild carbonation. To the sweet side for the style. Pleasant though.

Bottle. Bit hazy golden. Caramel malts, light cocoa, lime zest, pineapple, onion, tangerine, grassy, soft pine. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with crisp feel. Nice beer, the French and German hops work well here.

Bottle shared. Hazy dull golden. Caramel, roasted malts, light chocolate, grassy hops, grapefruit, blueberries, yoghurt, mineral. Almost medium sweet, solid medium bitter. Medium bodied. Not super farmhouse, but an OK beer.

Bottle. Slight gusher. Hazy amber. Bready malts, caramel, red berries, blueberries, quite yeasty, roses, apricot. Light sweet, sour and bitter. Medium bodied with a lot of carbonation. Seems slightly infected, also it's quite dark for a 100% Pils malt 7 EBC beer...

From the source. Amber with a creamy, white head. Citrus jam and butterscotch aroma. Taste is bitter the whole way through with a touch of acridity at the end. Nice chewy body, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Doesn‘t meet the refreshing test, but still pretty good.

From the brewpub. Black with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma promises dark chocolate, grapefruit, boiled cabbage. Taste is faintly tart with a mild, underlying bitterness. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation. Goes down a bit like a bIPA. Ok. Wanting to like this one despite the off-notes.
