Can, from Trader Joe's. Pours hazy bright yellow like orange juice, small frothy off-white head that flops fast, citrus-pineapple aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter citrus peel-mango-pineapple taste, smooth thin body, long finish. Flavorful.

16oz can. Hallertau Blanc takes in such a direction that it is more of an IPL than a Kolsch. Quite hop forward, but kind of odd and vegetal, not so appealing. Hopefully, for their sake, this can is old. No date on the bottom so you never know. Not such a bad beer, just not a good Kolsch.

Pours a nice rich dark brown from a can, off-white head made up of small bubbles dissipates leaving a good size ring. Aroma of raisins, faint toffee, some chocolate malt. Flavor similar but less interesting. Pretty good beer.

Pours a nearly clear gold from a can, thick white head persists. Citrus aroma, along with some crisp malt. Flavor is nicely balanced, rather bitter finish is pleasant. Pretty good beer.

On tap at the brewery in Chicago, IL. Pretty nice stuff, served in a tall glass, light gold with light white head. Light yeast in the nose, goes down crisp with a light hoppy finish. Exactly what I wanted at the time!

Tap at Drunk Uncle. Really nice Brown Ale. Full bodied, rich, sweet. Malty, not much hop balance. Rye fleshed it out. Pecan is mild but adds depth too. Good.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear gold with a foamy hid that laced a little. Aroma is nicely citrus - not getting pine but it might be there. Med body. Flavor is citrus with some pale fruits and a hint of zest. Pale malt support. Fairly dry. At least moderately bitter. Excellent flavor.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, clear, patchy tan head. Sweet malty aroma, raisins. Taste starts sweet then layers in malty notes, leather, tobacco, all wrapped up in a latent heat. Sweet finish, minor mouth coating.

Tap at DU. Solid Helles. Bready malts, pleasant lager tone. Nice noble hop tone, a touch vegetal. Overall pretty enjoyable, well made.

Tap at Drunk Uncle. Rather solid Pils. I like the hop depth. Capturing lots of noble hop nuance but still grounded in style. Sort of grainy, dry, grassy. Unique. Good.
