12 oz bottle from Sparky27. Pour is red, copper, golden, slightly hazed with a two inch thick off white head. Nice splotchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of bitter sweet citrus and resin hops, behind that grainy malt. Nice fresh nose, though it could be more assertive, its pretty faint. Taste is bitter resin slight floral hops with a toasted burnt sweet caramel malt backbone. Nice balance between the hops and malt. Palate is medium, nice active carbonation with a crisp bitter finish. Bit of mineral in the finish. Nice tasty beer, thanks Eric.

Orangey-amber with a slight haze. A fair amount of ginger, maybe coriander on the nose. Very gingery. Kind of thin. Hints of coriander. Decent. It’s light but refreshing. Of course, it helps to like ginger.

(11/5/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Coronado. Black-colored. Aroma of bourbon, some wood and dark chocolate. Sweetish alcoholic flavor with bourbon, bitter chocolate, some coffee and a bitter finish. Full-bodied. Not bad, but too much bourbon and alcohol in the flavor.
