Bottle that I picked up GBBF, Earls Court Aug 09 and consumed in a field at Cropredy Festival 14-08-09 Pours light-mid amber with a creamy off-white head. As soon as I start to prise off the crown cap the whiff of fresh juicy hops is desperate to escape the bottle. Wonderful hoppy nose, very hoppy in the mouth, some silky honey flavours, furry roof of the mouth bitterness, lovely drop of stuff. A7 A4 F7 P4 Ov14 4.0

On tap at the Pizza Port Session Ale Fest. Pours with a clear golden body and a creamy white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, grass and dank, spicy, fresh hop combs. Taste is dry with light wheat, biscuit notes, and lingering grassy bitterness. Dry and fizzy.

65cl bottle from GBBF 09. I wanted to like this. I liked the Idiot Patrik Ale from the same brewery, and I like Belgian Wits. But this has some rubber on the aroma. Some staleish malt in the mouth. Some rotten oranges throughout. Not a good wit. Yes, some orange in there. Not good though

Bottled 650 ml (BB 05/2009). Hazy yellow color, small white head. Cardboard, mould and light coriander in the aroma. Cardboardish, light orange fruityness. Light spices and alcohol in the aftertaste. Probably better when fresh.

Cloudy copper witha large, off-white head. Intense citrus aroma with some pine, as well. Pineapple and a malty backbone are present also. The malts down play the hops in the flavor a bit, but it’s still a big brew. Citrus hops, pineapple, and a sweet maltiness power you through this one. A touch too sweet compared to what I was expecting, but it’s a very nice DIPA.

On tap. Pours a hazy orangey brown with an off-white head. Roasted aroma with some nuts. Medium body, sweetish roasted malt, a little nuttiness and a whiff of sweet coffee. The finish is dry with a discreet bitterness. 080709
