Description
Folklore abounds in the marketing of Skinner’s Cornish beers, which were first supped in 1997. Steve Skinner heads a successful Cornish business whose beers are seen throughout the county and nationwide too via good wholesale distribution. Countless barrels and hundreds of awards later, our brewery has grown but remains a family business rooted in the area we live and work, whether that’s doing our bit for our corner of the planet, enjoying a bit of surfing or having a go at some shanty-singing.. The brewery has a 25-barrel plant, a good beer shop and well presented visitor centre.

In early 2023 taken over by Goodh Brewing.

[Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF, 2004] An Amber beer with a small white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and hops - and so is the flavor.

Copper colour with a rich, frothy head. Honey, sweet pale malts and leafy hops and berryish esters in the appetizing aroma. Leafy flavours, with sweet honey underpinning. Refreshing.

An amber beer with a beutiful beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of sugarcanes and a great hops. The flavor is smooth and lovely malty with great hops - though I can’t tell the type. The honey notes are also accentuated and very pleasant without being too sweet - and giving way for a good dry finish.

Hazy orange color. My bottle produced huge foamy off-white head. Fresh fruity ale aroma. One extra point to bottle! Sour(funny, others say mostly that this is sweet, I like it sour but maybe another bottle is needed in the future), malty and carbonated mouthfeel, actually quite freshing. Dry and bitter finish. Interesting English ale.

Creamy white head. Amber color. Light toffee caramel and hop aroma. Taste lacks "bitter bitterness". Sweet honey-like flavor with light hops and sugar. Watery finish. Label is nice! (5/4/5/2/10 2.6)
Cask@Beer Hunters
Pale amber color, creamy off-white head. Aroma of hops and fermented raisins. Nutty hoppy flavor, a bit thin on the malts, hints of fruity sweetness, propably from honey. An average bitter. (6/3/6/2/11 2.8)

Orange-amber color. Nice malt and hop aroma. Dry; ordinary mouthfeeling, not enough malty, just correctly hopped; a light honey touch, with a final a bit sweeter than the front.
