Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Clear pink colour - realle looks like a Rosé wine - with a small white head. Sweet berry-like aroma - not that appley really. Medium body, sweet raspberry notes and again not that appley. A little sweet. Label claims this is pure apples, but it really does taste berry-like. 230311

Bottle from Sainsburys. Vintage 2009 7.4% ABV. Clear orange gold colour with only a few bubbles round the collar. Mostly orange and apple fruit on the aroma, with maybe something a bit deeper lurking there. Full fresh apple taste in the mouth. Some dryness and some wood and some marzipan oddly on the initial swallow and finish. Decent attack on the gums by the tannins. Some sweetness in the mouth. Very decent cider, about the best I’ve had in 2 days of drinking the stuff. Attack on the gums is pretty decent as is the tickle on the tongue. Very decent cider. Maybe just a touch too sweet.
