Bottle, 6.5%. Slightly acidic apple aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Sweet flavour, some Belgian yeast. Sourish hay notes.

Bottled@Chris O Post GBBF Tasting. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet fruits, alcohol and mild wood. Flavour is spices, some alcohol, fruits and mild notes of glue.

Clear golden with medium white head. Sweet fruity aroma with yeasty notes. Sweet flavor with yeast, spice and fruity notes.

Bottle at home ... golden orange ... spicy hop aroma ... fruity and easy drinking light hop little dtying and resiny in linger

Orange coloured with a decent, long-lasting white head. Aroma of caramel, orange fruit and some earthy hops. The flavour had plenty of caramel malt, some citrus and a moderate bitter finish. Good.

Golden coloured with a big, frothy white head. Aroma of peaches, sweet malt and grassy hops. Flavour was sweet, almost cloying with a hoppy, dry finish. Good, but not a patch on seven giraffes.

500ml bottle. It was a shock to open the bottle and find yeast sediment on the inside of the cap - I guess the staff at my local Tescos don’t know how to store bottle conditioned ales!
This made for a very lively pour and a rather cloudy appearance. Hazy amber body with a large and loosely formed beige head; rich spicy toffee aroma; toffee malt flavour; a short buzzy bitter finish. Not bad - probably better if stored correctly.

500ml bottle from Tesco. Isn’t this a re-badge of Royal Oak?? Reddy brown, thin beige head. Yeasty fruity malty aroma. Good biting hop on end. Not sure the BCA works. Bit earthy. Nice hop though.

[i] Bottle from Oxford Tesco 01-11-07 [/i] Poured mid amber with some bubbling and a tight white head. The aroma I found to be musty at first but this was followed by some floral notes though I never got tangerine. Feels soft in the mouth the bitterness is very subdued, some soft creamy vanilla like flavours, also fudge, a reasonable beer that could have been so much better me feels.

750ml bottle.Gold with a loose white head; yeasty, spicy and fruity aromas; sweet and prickly in the mouth, typically Belgian taste. Not exceptional, but very pleasant.
