Bottle. Pours a pitch black hue with a small beige head. A big sweet nose, milk chocolate, roast, bourbon. Sweet, but not too sweet especially considering how stouts are today, big bourbon, hints of smoke, roast, milk chocolate. Lovely. Very smooth.

Bottle. Pours a pitch black hue with a small brown head that dies down. A big barrel nose, brandy and sugary malts. Sweet, the base is huge which helps so much, sugary vinous brandy. Low carb. Lovely.

Tap. Pours clear mahogany, smell brown head, some lacing. Aroma is werthers, toffee, vanilla maple, bourbon, treacle. Flavor is sweet, light plus bitter. Medium body. Pretty solid.

Pours hazy dark gold into a tulip. White pancake head with good retention recedes leaving trailing sheets. Dark caramel and tangerine aromas. Dry with sweet hot caramel, apricot and tangerine upfront turning to warm pine and pith in the warm, lasting finish.

500 ml bottle. Aroma is very subtle apple brandy with mild roasted malt. Flavor follows with hints of chocolate, coffee, and again soft apple brandy. Good texture and body.

Bottle pour shared by Chalumeaux--thanks, TJ! Opaque black with nice viscosity, no head or lacing. Aroma is wonderful apple jack brandy, caramel. Taste is strong base stout, apple jack brandy, caramel. Smooth, thick texture, full bodied, no sign of alcohol and finish as taste. Not super complex but wonderfully executed.

500 ml bottle. Aroma is molasses, mild aroma of toffee and bourbon. Flavor is pretty good with the above notes. Pretty great strength and some warming after the sip. Pretty good and does warm the belly quickly

Bottle pour courtesy of Chalumeaux--thanks, TJ! Opaque dark brown with no head or lacing. Aroma is nice balanced bourbon, caramel. Taste is wonderfully balanced, reasonably strong bourbon, caramel. Smooth texture, soft carbonation and ridiculously smooth. Not super complex but awesome for a BBA barleywine!
