Bottled (thanks Kim N!). Very deep brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, some grass, chocolate and mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, mild toffee, some juniper berries and mild vanillaish and wooden notes. Hides the alcohol rather well.

33cl beer from Melgers, Haarlem Thick off white head. Hazy amber pour. Clear alcohol. Nice enough beer.

Bottle. Pours a yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty grainy weak hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty grainy flavor. Has a sweetish malty grainy finish with weak hoppy hints.

Bottle shared at Delft beer festival. Pours cloudy yellow golden with a lively white head. Aroma of citrus, dry fruits, yeast and wheat. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Cask @ In De Wildeman. Dark golden golor, hazy. Aroma’s citrus and wheat. Citrus is particularly strong retronasal, with resin, wheaty, sweet spices and a light acidity. Flavor is lightly sweet with some acidity from both wheat and hops. Light body. Finishes with lots of hops, but not really bitter. Nice experiment, but hopping is so strong you barely notice this is a wheat beer.

On cask at In de Wildeman. Slightly hazy copper colour, soapy white head. Aroma of loads of citrus with some tangy wheat, really fresh smell. Flavour is citrus, lemon, some grapefruit, light floral, soft wheat, firm zesty bitter finish that lingers a bit. Light bodied, oily mouthfeel, no carbonation. Great summer beer, and IMO a great improvement from the bottled (NZ Hallertau + Citra) version I’ve had before.

Bottle @ Home. Pours dark brown with a offwhite head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, cocunut, peat, whisky. Flavor of malts, wood, peat, whisky, booze. Thin body, lively carbonation, alcoholic fininsh. Pretty nice aroma, but flavor way to heavy on whisky and gets to boozy. 170812

33 cl bottle # home (live rating). Dark red-brown color. Off-white to beige head. Aroma’s: Oak, bit of vanilla, bit whisky, retronasal also roasted & malts (and some more whisky). Flavor a bit roasted bitter, a slight sweetness and has wood-tones all over. Warms the throat. Medium body. Finishes with some roast, more oak and a firm bitterness. Possibly been a bit too long on wood, but a nice attempt anyway, seems to get better with every sip
