12oz can pours a clear dark gold with a ring of white head. Nose is solid for the style, yeast, malt, a little caramel or turbinado sugar. Simple. Effective. Flavor is better and true to style, lightly sweet, corn, grain, malt, dough. Finishes medium bodied with a little bite.

12 oz can purchased at Gomer’s 103rd and State Line in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a clear golden with a minimal white head. The aroma is straw, herbal and a hint of citrus. The taste is sharp herbal, a hint of clove, floral and cereal malt. The palate is medium bodied soft natural carbonation and semi malt sweet finish. Decent.

On tap at Torn Label, pours a mostly clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toffee, bready malt and a hint of red fruit. Flavour is on the drier side for a barley wine, with bready malt, toffee and red fruits. Not the most complex, leaving a gently sweet, somewhat astringently bitter finish. It's alright.

On tap at Torn Label, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out plenty of passionfruit, with subdued lime; the spices take a backseat. Flavour is just bizarre, taken over by the spices — especially nutmeg. The passionfruit and lime are there, but it all feels jumbled and confused. Not too good.

On tap at Torn Label, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out plenty of coffee upfront, followed lactose and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is coffee-centric, with plenty of sweetened cold brew character dominating. Simple but pleasant enough. Not bad.

Pour is a dark brown with a large mocha tan head. Aroma is cinnamon and vanilla. Flavor is very minor cinnamon and vanilla with some earthy brown malt. Finish is clean and no alcohol is felt. There is no date on the can so I don't know how old this is but this did not have enough of the adjuncts. It's just a imperial brown ale with a little sweetness to it.

Shaker pint draft at The Bar in Mission, Kansas. The pour is a slightly hazed golden orange with a minimal off white head. The aroma is soft grapefruit and grapefruit peel, along with a bit of citrus. The taste is bright grapefruit, hint of pine, bitter grapefruit peel carries the finish. The palate is light bodied with active carbonation and the bitter dry grapefruit peel finish. Torn Label hoppy beers always satisfy.

Bottle shared by Andrew, thanks! Pours a very deep brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet dark grains, light chocolate and some roasted malts supporting. Flavor has dark grains and earthy chocolate with some roast in a thin finish.
