Golden colour, white head. Malty aroma, yeast, light sour wheat note, candy, bubble gum and citrus. Sweet malty flavour, light hops. Sweet malty finish, wheat.

Thank you tderoeck! Tasting glass from 750 ml. bottle consumed @ “The Tasting formerly known as Mons RBBAG I (2014)”. BBF 15/11/2015. Hazy citrus with almost no head, faint bubbles on the side. Nose is lightly tart wheat, citrus, apple & plenty of white sugar; Taste is fizzy sour wheat, almost lactic, lemon sorbet, white sugar,… Fizzy bodied. Not perfect & seems to be on the verge of going to bad, just a tad more sour / lactic wheat tasting & it wouldn’t have worked. Still decent & enjoyable but. The current style of Belgian Ale on RB is just plain wrong, this is a wheat ale or possibly a specialty grain but a Belgian Ale, I do not think so.

Thank you tderoeck! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ “The Tasting formerly known as Mons RBBAG I (2014)”. Aged for 13 days, lol. Oily dark brown amber. Nose is strongly boozy peat, oily with some sugar in the back. Medicinal peat taste, herbal, oily dull cough syrup, boozy finish, brown sugar, cough syrup. Low carbonation. Tastes like peated whisky diluted with cough syrup, no depth, no complexity, this is not terrible but to be honest, I do not understand this kinds of beers at all.

(read the description while entering my rating: yes, wheat!) MF: ok carbon, medium body. taste: bit sweet, honey touch, very yeasty, hoppy, grassy, bit sourish, wheat touch. Aftertaste: banana peel, bit grassy, bitter hops.

Bottle thnx to belgiuminabox Pours clear blonde good white head . Smell is sweet , thick maltyness . Taste is maltsweet . Some well-balanced hoparoma . Perfect carbo . Bit grainy . very well-balanced tripel .

Small yellowish rim, dark brown beer with rusty-red highlights. Surprisingly fruity nose, red fruit, then outspoken phenolic Islay aromas. Again surprisingly sweet, fruity -again- and then Islay onslaught, making it dry and even very slightly astringent. Sweetness keeps hanging around, yet never disturbing. Bit mineral, liqueurish and vinous. Alcoholwarming², very oily-slick, bit sticky MF even. Long-lasting warm liqueurish flavours. Excellent - Olivier or Bubberman wouldn’t do it any better.

Thick pink head, slightly irregular, over Burgundy-red beer. Cherries, cherrysweets, parsley, bit other yeasts but not Brett. Sourish-sweet, vinous fruit and fruitjuice with cherry, lychee, pear. Warming up, gets a bit soupy, however. Spritzy, light body, refreshing; yet a faint oily/filmy feel. Special kind of kriek, pleasing.
