Brouwerij Den Triest is opgericht door een passie voor het bier in 2009 Na voor het eerst te hebben gebrouwen in 1986 in brouwerij 'T Steedje ( Oudenburg ) is de passie niet meer overgegaan met als de ultieme droom zelf een brouwerij te starten. Na eerst brouwerij school te hebben gevolgd bij Luc Pauwels in Coovi Anderlecht om ons geheugen even op te frissen ben ik nog een jaartje naar Gent hogeschool brouwerij gegaan en dan de beslissing genomen om van mijn passie een beroep te maken

Clear dark purple brown beer, small aery irregular beige head, unstable, dissipates immediately. Aroma: very peated, bit sweet, caramel, smoky, sugary, some banana, yeast. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very peated, smoky, bit sweet, some chocolate, sourish touch. Aftertaste: very peated, smoky, alcohol, bit rubbery, sour touch, yeasty.

Clear deep orange beer, creamy irregular white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, peaches, banana, bit sweet, caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: citrus, bit sour, pretty hoppy, fruity, some peaches, lychee, hint of banana. Aftertaste: nice bitterness, little sweet, some caramel, toast, bit grassy, hay.

Bottle at the ABC Beers pre Borefts tasting, Den Haag. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is yeast, light citrus. The flavour is light bitter with a yeast, citrus light hop bitter palate. Light to moderate bodied with lively carbonation and a bubbly mouthfeel.

Bottle @ the brewery. Dark brown colour, beige foam. Soft carbonation. Malty body. Aroma of roasted malts, dark fruit, some brown sugar and peated whisky. Well balanced. Medium sweet with bitter and smoky finish. Good!

Reddish brown colour, beige head. Aroma of brown sugar, yeast, malts and caramel. Sweet flavour, malts, caramel, light bitter. Quite light, finish caramel and malts. Not bad, just not my kind of beer.

Golden colour, white head. Aroma of candy, yeast, malts, tripel yeast. Quite bitter flavour, mild citrus, malts. Bitter malty finish, yeast. Decent beer.
