Bottle: Pale golden/orange color with a sticky beige head. Lots of weblike lacing. Big aroma of citrus and pine, but also nutty? Kind of like 12-grain bread... First impression is watery and it doesn’t improve from here. Floral, soapy, earthy, and bready. Not sure what the idea with this was.

Bottle: Pale golden color with a finger of creamy sand colored head. Aroma is grassey and herbal, some florals, faint citrus, and light biscuit. Tastes herbal and floral, some dandelions, grass, and seemingly rye. Sticky, lingering aftertaste is herbal, bitter, and dry.

Super dense, deep brown coloured body with a large, two or three centimetre tall brown head - very nice looking. Aroma of super pungent alcohol, nuts, chocolate, earth, peat and even nutmeg. Medium-bodied; Dense malty flavour at first with tons of chocolate, some nuts, a bit of anise and fennel seed with a hint of cacao or white pepper on the finish. Aftertaste quite complex given the style, but some spice notes play out with a bit of an earthiness mixed with the chocolate and robust malt flavours. Overall,a very nice porter with some good flavours and even better complexity - still easy to drink, too! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 28-February-2012 for US$1.65 sampled at home in Washington on 13-August-2012.

Bottle: Pale copper pour with a wispy white head. Strong aroma is initially florals hops. As it warms, the bready malts become noticeable. Nice florals in the flavor, caramel, rye, and bready too. Dry, lingering finish is spicey and floral.
