Can from GoLocalExtra, opposite Rochdale Railway Station. 3.5% version. Slightly paler golden colour with a small carbonation. Has a sweet apple aroma and taste and reminds me of the pub stuff I used to drink when I first started boozing!

Bottle from Lidl, Todmorden. Pale yellow-green with a carbonation. The pear is light in both aroma and taste, but it’s crisp and very palatable.

Bottled (AbM). Pale golden colour, small white head, which vanishes quite quickly. Aroma is sweet apples, some slight fruity and sugary notes along with mild resiny and sappy notes. Flavour is green apples, sweet apples and some slight vanilla, herbs and sappy notes. A bit thin, and not too exciting, but still a quite fresh thing.

Keg @ Haigy’s Bradford. Very pale green with a small thin head and a carbonation. Has a pear flavour that’s a touch dry and thin tasting.

Can from the Scotmid. Pours clear orange gold, no head. Strong cooked apple aromas. Taste is sweet. Some booze burn. Bit metallic at the end. Not great.

500ml bottle from Lidl. Pours pale yellow, no head. Initially eggy fart aromas, then sweet pear drops, apples. No real fruit seems to have been involved. Thin. Sweet.

From a hand pump at the Asheville, Southville, Bristol 7/11/2014. Golden with a touch of carbonation. Very easy drinking cider, with some medium fruitiness, the vaguest hint of rustic character and a gentle finish. Ok.

Pounder: Canada Dry ginger ale nose, apple is barely discernible. Crystal clear golden, still. Apple is now dominant on the palate, but ginger is evident. Cardamom present. Light body, moderate fine carbonation. Good ginger flavor, but none of the gingery heat. Quite enjoyable.
