Description
Owned and operated by the Oswald men, Omen Brewing specialises in Darker styles of beer. With a predominately dark lineup we offer something for the true dark beer enthusiast as well as those who are afraid of the dark.
Our 10BBL brew house with six 10BBL uni-tanks allows us to make high quality and well balanced beer often enough to keep it fresh and great tasting. Our product is extremally localized and can only be found at select bars, pubs and restaurants though out Edmonton, as well as our tap room.
We love the Alberta brewing community and are proud to be a part of Edmonton. The support we have received this first year of brewing has been overwhelming and fantastic. We really love seeing our regulars enjoy our beer as well as new converts who told us that they “don’t like dark beer,” leave with a couple of Growler or Howler fills.

473ml can. Pours an opaque black with a small, foamy, short lived, light brown head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice, caramel and coffee. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, lactose, licorice, vanilla, cocoa and coffee in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Not as creamy as I had hoped, but still tasty.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy gold yellow with a thin, fizzy, short lived, white head that fully dissipates. Aroma of grainy wheat malt, lime, chilie pepper and floral hops. Sweet flavour of grainy wheat malt, lime, coriander, jalapeño, salt and floral hops in a dry, tart finish. Light to medium body with a syrupy texture and soft carbonation. Refreshing, tasty and enjoyable. Well done, has a lovely kick to it.
