Unique microbrasserie dans l’ouest du comté de Portneuf, la Microbrasserie Les Grands Bois a su se faire une place de choix dans le paysage portneuvois, grâce au dynamisme et à l’originalité de ses cinq fondateurs.
Située à Saint-Casimir, dans un ancien cinéma datant de 1946, la Microbrasserie Les Grands Bois produit depuis 2016 des bières artisanales de grande qualité et au goût unique! Vous comptez passer la nuit dans ce merveilleux village? Le 2e étage du bâtiment, composé d’une salle de spectacles d’une capacité de 500 places, propose une programmation musicale impressionnante tout au long de l’année, accueillant régulièrement des artistes en tournée internationale.

Un profil malté céréalier s’offre au nez.
Des accents floraux et herbacés s’y rajoutent.
Parfaitement limpide et dorée.
La mousse de taille moyenne est effervescente et descend rapidement.
Le profil malté domine l’entrée de bouche.
Des notes très légèrement miellées, céréalières et subtilement fruitées.
La finition est moyennement amère et herbacée.
La carbonatation est assez piquante malgré un corps un peu rondelet.
Une bière respectable qui pourrait facilement servir de bière commerciale de qualité.

Des céréales craquantes sont offertes dans un olfactif typique du style. Le liquide jaune paille est partiellement voilé. La mousse est généreuse et rocailleuse. L’entrée de bouche céréalière et granuleuse se veut légèrement miellée. Les houblons sont épicés et légèrement herbacés. Une lager de soif axée sur les céréales, très peu amère et assez ordinaire. (Can) Pours hazy straw with tiny white head. Aroma of lemon and banana. Medium bodied with plenty of gentle carbonation. Nice tart citrusy start. Banana and yoghurt notes. Refreshing.

On tap at Stillwell Freehouse. Pours clear golden yellow with white head. Aroma is faintly wheaty. Flavour is mainly cereal malts. Uninspiring but seems well constructed.

On tap at Stillwell. Pours clear pale yellow with white head. Aroma had lightly smoked malt. Flavour is lightly smoked with some crisp malts. Lightly enough overall that smoked flavours may be confirmation bias.

On tap at Stillwell. Pours cloudy yellow with white head. Aroma has light pine and lemon. Flavour has strong spruce, cracker malts, lemony sweetness, fresh grass. Minimal bitterness. Flavour is delicate and well constructed. Very nice.

Poured from the tap @ Vices & Versa. Clear chestnut brown with small light beige head. Toasted malt, some light caramelized sweetness peaks through with a hint of nuttiness. Decent.
