Backlog August 2016. Clear golden body under a medium sized white head. Aroma dominated by grapefruit and citric fruits. Taste is refreshing fruity with grapefruit, citric hops, mild malt and medium bitterness. Straight forward, quite fruity take on the style.

Backlog July 2015. Slightly unclear golden body under a medium sized off-white head. Strong, fresh and fruity aroma of citric fruit, grapefruit and cat pee with pine. Taste is nice and refreshing fruity as well, mild, smooth malt, nice fruity hops and god bitterness.

Can. It’s an almost clear orange colored beer with a nice off-white head. The aroma has some bready pale malts in the back, with pine cones, resin and some orange and grapefruit. It’s medium to full-bodied with a little malty sweetness and a nice bitterness in the mouth. Pleasant carbonation, and mostly on the dry side. Piney, resiny flavor with citrus zest and grapefruits. Long bitter finish. A quenching one with a lot of bitterness, which I like. 171021

Utside Nærbøfestival 2017. Golden-orange color with an off-white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, hop, yeast. Flavor is fruit, malt, hop, yeast, pine,grapefruit, citrus, peaches, toffee. Easy drinkable beer.

Thanks to Finn for a 330ml can of this one. Bubbly pearl white head, close to clear golden body, rings of lace down the glass. Distant aroma of herbal hops, mild mid-sweet malt beneath. Hop fruity taste with peaches and pine, a caramel touch beneath. Nice, mid-dry bitter tail. Medium bodied. Decent. (Tromsø 26.08.2017).

Boks fra Vaaland 1889, delt med Ovesen etter at vørteren er tappet: aj, aj - her stiger en liflig citrusaroma opp av glasset før jeg rekker å si Højt skum! Uklar gylden med flott skum som varer. Smaken innfrir, dette er en førsteklasses pøseøl for alle anledninger. Lekker citrusaktig bitterhet i ettersmaken gjør at jeg griper begærlig etter glasset gang på gang. Men plutselig var det tomt...
