Description
The first Brasserie de Monceau-Saint-Waast was established in 1833. In 1901 the family Descamps became the new owners of the brewery; members of the family were in charge till 1993 when the brewery was sold. What followed was a very precarious history of several closures and reopenings till the year 2009. In that year the brewery was taken over by Olivier Forest, the fourth generation of a brewers family. In early December 2020, Florian Eustache took over the Monceau-Saint-Waast brewery.

Pours unclear yellow with a creamy white head. The nose has some citrus, minerals, pale bread. Medium sweet flavor with ripe lemon, white bread, some citric tang, grains, straw. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sticky sweet finish with doughy bread, more tangy cotrus, lemon. Novel. Not altogether bad.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons, Coquelles, France. A dark golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sour, fruity aroma. Tastes quite sour, vaguely fruity, apple. Not really one for me to be honest.

65cl Bottle. Ladnie wygladajace bursztynowe ale z microbrowaru francuskiego. Piana spora i srednio trwala, metnosc spora i wyrazne nuty karmelowe z lekka wedzona poswiata. Wytrawne a nie slodkie piwo choc uzyto cukier do refermentacji ale wspaniale go calkowicie odfermentowano. Piwo podczas degustacji sprawia wrazenie bardzo ciezkiego.

Dobre piwo o sredniej pianie i takze srednio trwalej. Ale o sporej ilosci drozdzy, Bursztynowo brunatnym kolorze i o winnym lekko wedzonym posmaku. Tresciwe i lekko rozgrzewajace. Koncowka wytrawna i troche urozmaicona przyprawami typu gozdziki. Typowy odbior piwa swiatecznego i sezonowego.
