Tallboy from Finger Lakes Bev. Clear, rigid, plastic cup in hotel oh no. Clear, hot magenta-colored, whatever this is. Smell is moderately strong, natural ginger, almost like Jamaican ginger ale; smells sweet. Taste is a solid bitter, mildly tannic but otherwise non-descript apple & ginger combo, with some lingering hibiscus tartness. Approaching soda-level sweetness, but not quite. Very faint prickly ginger heat. Syrupy slick & probably just a bit under carbed. Pretty tasty. Supposedly all natural. Avoided the brand till now.

Lots of cider at Troy brewfest nice bonus. Light spritzer pour. Nose is ginger and some apple. Tastes of apple, hibiscus, and ginger. Like a brunch cocktail spritzer.

Draft, 8 August 2015 at BCTC, Ommegang Brewery. Aroma is like nothing I have had in a cider, sour peaches, over ripe nectarines and almost an off yeast note.
Flavor shows the the same rotten / sour fruit notes with a pretty sharp pucker in the back of my taste buds. You almost can’t even find the apple in this drink. I got to say every sample I had from the cidery is creative and innovative. I would not known the was Apple based in a blind taste taste. Very cool!

cloudy hazy, no head. draft pour smells awesome like sour peaches and pears. taste is similar. excellent mouthfeel I enjoyed this one. almost too sour but right on the edge. there is a little off-flavor in a rotten fruit taste

pale reddish color. I mostly get ginger only in the aroma. not too surprising. lots of sweetness with a nice mouthfeel. ginger comes on strong and hibiscus at the finish

clear pale yellowish. smells like lavender i mean this is like lavender city. very nice aroma. but the taste is just too overwhelming. the cider base is thin and the lavender just overpowers that.

Draft @ BCTC, Ommegang Brewery. August, 8, 2015. Very attractive pink color. Aroma is red apple, lightly sour apples with a touch of hibiscus.
Who are these people making this cider? And why haven’t we heard more about them? The contrast between the ginger vs. the flowers with the apple base is simply delicious. The flavor mingles together very well. Damn, I am going to look for bottles on my next trip through NY state. Very good.

Draft @ BCTC, Ommegang Brewery. August, 8, 2015. Clear pale yellow. Aroma is gentle lavender, light apple and hops. I never heard of lavender hops, interesting!
The lavender is nicely subtle with a very enjoyable crispness. The herbal lavender with apple juice and hops works pretty well. After 5 oz, I was wondering if I wanted more. Would sample this again.
