Bottled. Hazy golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty, some wheat, mild toast too. Flavour is yeasty, some cirtrus, mild wheat and some bready tones too.

gefunden in einem Bio-Gesundheitsladen in Barcelona. Gebraut mit Maris Otter und Crystal-Malz und nicht näher beschriebenen amerikanischen und deutschen Hopfensorten. Benannt ist es nach dem Barri Gòtic, dem gotischen Bezirk, was der Altstadt entspricht. Ein uriges Craftbier, das mit seinen Schwarzbrotaromen schon in RIchtung Kellerbier geht, aber doch als ALe erkennbar bleibt. Dazu kommen würzige Aromen nach Fenchel, Anis und Kümmel und das fein vermischt mit karamelligen Malznoten. Eine wirkliche Überraschung -aber eine positive.

Bottle shared by Jonne. Clear golden with small short lasting head. Quite some wheat, soft lemon candy, light spicy yeast, canned peach, soft hops. Medium sweet, light bitter and soft tart finish. Medium bodied. OK.

Bottle 330ml. @ The Chris and Ruth's House, London. [ As Barcino Gòtic Ale ].Clear medium orange - amber yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, toffee, nutty notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, caramel, toffee, hay, earthy notes. Sample from 33 cl bottle. Slightly hazy golden amber colour with a thin white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, grasses, caramel malts, peaches. Taste is light bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with grasses and citrus fruits. Okay.
