Description
For Teo Musso, beer is passion, an intense love for taste and certainly a form of expression. Through his recipes, he has communicated special moments in his life, sides of his being and his constant search for the perfect sensory balance.

In 1986 Le Baladin pub opens in Piozzo (Cuneo). Ten years after Le Baladin becomes a brewpub where beer is produced and directly sold. Blonde and Ambrée (both in filtered and non filtered versions) are the first draught beers produced by Baladin.

330ml bottle from Baladin Open Garden. Pours a slightly unclear burnished amber, white head. Appearance and flavour profile seems to slot in more towards a Vienna lager than a red ale, lovely body, gentle grain, lovely malt sweetness, nicely balanced with a hint of spice. Nicely done.

Can (080/250 - 3 08/2027 on bottom of can) from Steve. Lightly hazy, golden yellow, light sparkle, ring of head, no lacing. Aroma is strong pepper, apricot, malt. Taste is strong pepper, spice (grains of paradise?), apricot, malt. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Pepper and spice is strong but not overwhelming. Spices add unique interest.

A brown-yellow beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has over riped fruitness, sweetness, some grain. Taste has over riped fruitness, some grain, why not also herbs. Medium bodied. Something is not right here.

Panda, courtesy of S.H.I.G., pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a thin ring of bubbles. The modest aroma offers up plums, booze burning sherry, a touch of nuttiness and then a faint vague nuttiness and earthiness. The taste delivers mead like richness for a moment and reveals brown sugar stewed plums and dates as well as a sherry sensation. To midway the booziness ramps up a bit to help counter against the sweetness going on here. A few more sips reveals a faint sweet nuttiness just before the booze takes it's hold on the experience. Great sipper. Wow. Thanks Shawn.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy opaque pale yellow with a small, white head. Lightly spicy aroma, coriander comes to mind but also others - bit soapy and perfumy according to my better half. Light-bodied, citrusy, yeasty, grainy and perfumy. Never sweet, hardly bitter. Quite refreshing. 090726
